Visit of Japanese delegation at the Foundation

On the 11th of October 2013, Rural Credit Guarantee Foundation hosted the executive officers of the Credit Guarantee Corporations of Japan (CGCs, the association of Japanese credit guarantee schemes) in the frame of a European study visit organised by the Japan Productivity Centre.

The organisation CGCs consists of 52 member institutions in Japan covering 47 prefectures and 5 cities. Similarly to the Hungarian model, CGCs and its members do not grant loans to SMEs, but facilitate their access to finance by providing guarantees. The aim of the study tour was to better acknowledge European guarantee schemes and to have a glimpse at the financing of local micro, small and medium-sized companies in Hungary.

AVHGA presented to the 29-person delegation the features of the Hungarian guarantee schemes, the present status of SME financing in Hungary and the parameters of AVHGA's guarantee during the two-hour visit. Additionally, the participants exchanged their experiences on the operation of the overall financial system and guarantee organisations in Hungary and Japan.
